Brace Yourselves - A Happy Post!!

Well, breaking with the current set of postings I have made of late, I am going to post something cheerful!

Yes, this is still Purple Dragon - she of the miserable pity party posts.

Anyway, I have booked myself on a course. Reiki I. It is a two day course in Aberdeen (3rd and 4th May), learning about Reiki and getting my first attunement. I visited the website of the woman who does the training and attunements, and I felt very comfortable with her - almost like I know her. Actually I probably do if she FreeCycles LOL

I shall do my Reiki I and then start working towards my Reiki II and also the Metamorphic training.

I'm very excited about the whole thing, and think about it quite a bit.

Anyone else here have their Reiki?

I asked my man what he thought I should do, when I was thinking about booking myself on and he said "Let the Force guide you". Cheeky sod.

Love your man's response...FOL...what exactly is Reiki...I've got a lady on the blog catalog that teaches it...I'll have to check out what it is...can you do it if you're physically disabled?...big hugs...X

    I am much happier. I have employed my 'dont think about it, and it hasnt happened' technique.

Glad you're feeling a bit better. But one question:

What is Reiki?

What is a first attunement?

Hell - metamorphic training? ?!?

PS - Went up to Aberdeenshire earlier this week (Portsoy) - NECR, the best radio station this side of the lowlands. Brilliant

    We could! I live in South Lanarkshire, so it was a 3 hr drive, but the sat nav - rather than taking me through the roadworks at Dundee, etc, we went through the Cairngorms National Park, Braemar, a wonderful drive. It was amazing. I was only there for half a day - but will remember that you are in Aberdeenshire!

My only experience of Reiki was by someone who is now a 'master', mostly by post I think. I had a most impressionable and chilly experience, (my feet got perishing cold in lambswool lined boots and I had to think myself through the discomfort!) It was an experience I do not intend to repeat. I'm sure you will be much more attuned.

  I think there are a lot of fraudsters out there. They are trying to regulate it and have a central regulation board so that it isnt so open to charlatans. Naturally, these things take time.
  
  I think perhaps the cold feet thing was part of the process for you. It can have some interesting effects on the physical body that would need sorted before the end of the session.

    No fraudsters, and cold feet not part part of the experience either. They did not know me, took no time to relate which, as a result, certain mistakes were made. They discovered it was the worst approach they could have taken. They were meanies, who couldn't stick a heater on and had no idea about any individualisation around what they were supposed to be doing. Humans are variable and unkown qauantities. This particular pair's 'mastery'of the subject came later, but I for one, have no intention or desire to find out what they do these days.
    
    Their training was a mixture of postal, distance learning type work and short bursts on a teaching site somewhere. I guess that's what you could call organisational flexibility for people in remote places. It's a pity that some of the idea of flexibility didn't rub off on them.
