Is it just me, or does everyone spend aaages reading a textbook because of going off on tangents from other references.
I am trying to read a book just now, and the author has made mention of another book .. one I haven't read. So, I have just had to order the book from the library or I won't really know or appreciate the point my current author is making.
No wonder it takes me so long to trawl thru non-fiction.
There is so much that I don't know.

I have ordered the book I was referring to from the library. I have met my book-buying quota for the month. I have three new books sitting on my desk that arrived this morning that I shall have to integrate into the library without Himself noticing.

Pro Make a note and go back to it when you have finished your book, I thank god i don't have to read text books now for that very reason x

I have ordered it from the library. It won't stop me reading this book, just give me something *else* to read when this one is done. The text book isn't one I have to read for my course - this one is recreational

LOL I should think even Harry Potter has references to things I don't know about and would need to learn about.

HLOL...used to have that problem when read non-fiction...was always finding references that peeked my curiosity...can drive you mad in the end if you follow up on all of them...you'd never get through the original text...
